School and Graduate Institute of Physical Therapy currently offers both undergraduate (bachelor's degree; B.S.) and graduate (master of science degree; M.S. and the doctorate program degree; PhD.) programs.
The undergraduate program in physical therapy at National Taiwan University provides the training including basic scientific ability, basic medicine knowledge, clinical medicine knowledge, and physical therapy practice skills. Its primary objective is to prepare competent and caring physical therapists who will be able to practice in a variety of settings and roles.
A minimum of 140 credits is required to receive a bachelor degree in physical therapy. These consists of 110 required courses, including 30 credits of clinical internship, and 12 general required courses held by other programs.
The School offers courses in introduction to physical therapy, functional anatomy, applied physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, manual therapy, electrotherapy, thermotherapy, functional training, basic techniques in physical therapy, orthopedic physical therapy, neurological physical therapy, cardiopulmonary physical therapy, pediatric physical therapy, seminar in physical therapy, and clinical practices.
